Shayama Chona ((ヒンディー語:श्यामा चोना; born 12 August 1942)) is the Founder-President of Tamana Association (estb. 1984) 〔 〕and the former Principal of dps rkp, New Delhi.〔(【引用サイトリンク】publisher=Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram )〕 In 1997, she was presented with the prestigious National Award for Individual for Best Work Done in The Cause of the Disabled. Under her dynamic leadership as President of the Governing Council, Tamana Association received the First Mother Teresa Award for its dedicated services to the intellectually impaired. 〔()〕 Not only has her contribution been recognized and felicitated time and again, her commitment in the field of education and social welfare for over 4 decades has given concrete shape directly to the nation’s education policies and welfare programmes.
